Fairy Tales Formal Wear was established in 1989 in Colchester, CT by Janet Naples. It was a thriving Bridal Shop and Prom Store. At the end of 2004, Janet passed away, and the shop was closed for one year in 2005.

Cris Lawrence re-opened the boutique in Colchester on January 3, 2006. She re-established Fairy Tales Formal Wear and Bridal Boutique as a thriving business once again as it was in its prime.

In March of 2008, Cris moved the business to Glastonbury at 255 Hebron Ave. Her background in retail consists of helping her husband and family run their specialty educational toy stores called Toys 2 Wish 4 . Cris currently resides in Hebron, CT and has a 12-year-old son, of whom she cannot wait until he goes to his first prom.

Cris gets a lot of fulfillment helping brides, Moms and customers find the dress of their dreams. She spends a lot of time with her clients in consulting on what is the best look for them. It is very rewarding for Cris on the day the bride comes in to pick up her wedding gown. The happiness and joy that the bride exhibits makes Cris' career very rewarding.
